Aurelio Etcheverry

Dr. Etcheverry

Job Position

Dr. Etcheverry is Board Certified in Pediatrics and remains committed to ongoing education to maintain a high standard of pediatric care. He earned his medical degree from the Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his post‑graduate training at Miami Children’s Hospital. Throughout his career, he was recognized for providing primary care in the Grand Valley for 20 years at Community Hospital and an additional 25 years at St. Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Etcheverry founded Dino-Peds in 1992, bringing his longstanding dedication to children’s healthcare into private practice.

Tara Mercer

Dr. Mercer

Job Position

Dr. Tara Mercer earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 1997. She is deeply passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care for infants, children, and adolescents. Before attending medical school, Dr. Tara worked as a Registered Nurse for several years and has been involved in healthcare since 1985. As a mother of four and grandmother of three, she believes pediatric care extends beyond treating physical illness and focuses on supporting the whole child. Dr. Tara moved to the Grand Valley in 2019 and is excited to continue her pediatric practice as part of the Dino-Peds team.

Bon Melinda

Melinda Bon, FNP

Job Position

Melinda Bon is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of nursing experience across multiple specialties, including the last five years focused on pediatric care. She brings a strong clinical background along with a warm, approachable style to every patient visit. Melinda is passionate about supporting children as they grow and thrive while building lasting, trusted relationships with the families she serves. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University.



Outside of the office, Melinda enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with their beloved pets, and volunteering through her church. She looks forward to caring for patients of all ages as part of the Dino-Peds team.
